Ultrasonic Pattern Problem? Here’s the Real Solution
Ultrasonic Pattern Problem? Here’s the Real Solution
Many manufacturers face issues like unclear patterns, uneven welding, or fast wear of ultrasonic pattern wheels.
✱If you're using an old mold and happen to you just changed to new embossing material, the first thing you need to check is whether the new material is thicker than the old one. If so, you should test by increasing the mold pressure. If this doesn't solve the problem, then you need to check if the mold is severely worn or if any indentations are damaged.
(Like the picture,You can clearly see that the mold pattern is severely worn and the central cutting edge is damaged.)
✱If you have just replaced the new mold,Therefore, it is necessary to judge based on the actual situation.
· First, check if the new mold has been damaged due to bumps or knocks during transportation.
· If the pattern is unclear, the mold pressure can be increased appropriately.
· If the embossing is asymmetrical, with one side being embossed deeper and the other side being embossed shallower. Then it's possible that your mold is not level.
✱If you find that the mold wears out quickly during use, it may be due to a problem with the mold material, excessive pressure during operation, or the mold factory forgetting to heat-treat the mold after carving (of course, this possibility is very small).
The materials commonly used for ultrasonic molds include: 20CrMo; Cr12Move; DC53 and so on.
